Shaadi Waadi haayo rabba...

The immense success of 'Desperate Housewives' has prompted me to think about marriage and come out with this post. I was zapped when i read that its a famous serial in India too!! anyways i am not here to discuss about that. if interested read Shobha De's column in 'The Week' (latest one).
I was just wondering what marriage is all about? A promise to stay together?? is that all?? I know there are 7 promises involved in marriage ceremony. But I wonder how true they are? We in India are proud about the emotional security we have. I often get to listen "Thank God, we dont have culture like THEM. We dont see divorces every day.". But does that mean all the married couple in India are happy. If they are together, is it their choice to be together? Is you your spouse with you becuase she\he needs you, loves you or bcoz he\she HAS to be with you!!!. (You know marriage is a divine commitment)Isnt the excitement of life lost? bcoz u have taken your spouce for granted. "I love you" tho door ki baat hai. its like we know we love each other. We are married. Huh

These days I am lil more inclined towards kannada songs. Specially the ones which have countryside touch. ಜಾನಪದ ಗೀತೆ. ಯಾಕೊ ಶಿರಸಿ ನೆನಪು ಬಹಳ ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇದೆ. ನಾಗಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ಯಲ್ಲ "ಈ ಹಸಿರು ಸಿರಿಯಲಿ.. ಮನಸು ಮೆರೆಯಲಿ" ಅ ಹಾಡು ಕೇಳ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆ. ಸಖತ್ ಅಗಿ ಮನೆ ನೆನಪು ಅಗ್ತಾ ಇದೆ. ಶಿರಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಜಿಟಿ ಜಿಟಿ ಮಳೆ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಥರದ್ ಹೂ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ? ಡೆರೆ ಹೂ, Glady, ಅಬ್ಬಾ Glady ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಬಣ್ಣ ಗೊತ್ತಾ? ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾರಿಗು ಎನ್ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಗೊತ್ತಾ? ಹೂ ಗಿಡ ತರೊದು. ಆರ್ ಮನೆಗ್ ಹೋದ್ರೆನು ಅಮ್ಮ ಬರೊವಗ ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಹೂವಿನ ಗಿಡ ತಂದಿರ್ತಾರೆ. ಓಳ್ಳೆ ಸೊಪ್ಪು ಹೆರ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ದ್ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಆಬ್ಬ, ಎನ್ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಅನ್ದ್ರೆ. ಸೂಜಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ? ಅದು ಬಿಡೊ ಕಾಲ ಇದು. ಒಂಥರಾ ಊರೆಲ್ಲ ಘಮ್ ಅಂತಾ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಒಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆ ಅಮ್ಮಂದಿರು ಮಳೆಗಾಲ ಬಂತು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಹಿತ್ತಲಲ್ಲೆ ಇರ್ತಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪ, ಮಾಮ ಎಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಾರೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ?
ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸೊಪ್ಪು ಹೊದಿಸ್ತಾರೆ. ಯಾಕೆ ಅಂತಾ ನಂಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲಾ. Co[[er sulphate ಗೊತ್ತಲ್ಲಾ? ಅದನ್ನ ಅಡಿಕೆ ಮರಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಕ್ತಾರೆ. ಕೊಳೆ ರೋಗ ಬರ್ಬಾರ್ದು ಅಂತಾ. ಎಷ್ಟು prominent ಆಗಿ season transition ಆಗುತ್ತೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ? ಆಯ್ಯೊ ಹೆಳೋದೆ ಮರ್ತೆ. ಹೊಸ ಛತ್ರಿ ತಗೊಳೊದ್ ಬೆರೆ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಹೊದ್ ವರ್ಷ ಈ color ತಗೊಂದಿದ್ದೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಾ? ಬೇರೆದ್ ತಗೊಬೇಕಾ? ಅಬ್ಬಾ! ಎನ್ ಯೊಚ್ನೆ :). Its been 6 years since i have missed all that. enginnering ge hodaglindalu male,besige chaligaala ella onde agide. :( . ಅಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗ್ ಬಾ ಅಂತಾ ತುಂಬ ಕರಿತಾ ಇದಾರೆ. ನಂಗೆ ತುಂಬ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಇದೆ. ರಜ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ನಿಮ್ಮತ್ರ ಹೇಳಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ಖುಶಿ ಆಗ್ತಿದೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ?. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ back to work :)
